To be a globetrotter, a grand voyageur is an attitude. It means feeling at home even if you are faraway, travelling for leisure or business. This is what I intend my guesthouse for.
I’m an interior designer and I’ve just totally restored my home in what I call a “scandinafrican style with a dolce vita touch”.. Scandinavian and design classic elements vitalised by waxprint african textiles and photos, maps, vintage postcards and memories both from my travels and my urban explorations in Rome, a neverending surprise.
The apartment can host up to 5 people.
It is totally renovated.
It has two nice and quiet double bedrooms, the green and the avio room, each with private bathroom – one with bathtub, one with shower – a studio area, a beautiful sunny livingroom with dining area and and an open fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. Livingroom and kitchen overlook a lovely garden with lounge, dining area, solarium and laundry area. The living room has a couch bed for an eventual additional guest.
It’s air conditioned, has a private hot water and heating system, lcd tv, dvd player and radio/cd/mp3 player and free wi-fi connection. The building has a daily concierge service.
The apartment is located in Parioli, a classy neighbourhood very quiet and greeny, yet very well connected via public transportation to the historical city center.
The Parioli area offers stylish restaurants and bars, boutiques, amazing parks such as Villa Borghese and Villa Ada, the zoo and stunning museums – Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna, Galleria Borghese, Museo Etrusco di Valle Giulia.
Within 5-10 minutes walking you can take a bus, tram or metro.
In just 3 metro stops you’ll get to the historical city center (Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Tevi);
by tram you can easily get to San Pietro, Vaticano, Colosseo and ancient Rome’s sites, to nightlife districts such as Trastevere, Monti, San Lorenzo and Pigneto, to attractions like Maxxi museum by Zaha Hadid, Renzo Piano’s Auditorium, Porta Portese sunday flea market and many many more.
No. 360 bus, which end of the line is 5 minutes from home, will take you to Stazione Termini (Roma’s main train station). From there you can get to Fiumicino airport by train or coach, or to Ciampino airport by coach.
I’m sharing all my experience of Rome. I was born here and I have a real passion for the eternal city. Feel free to ask, I would love to give custom advices and suggestions if you’re willing to “live Rome like romans do”.
